“The Most Wonderful Time” Christmas Festivities

VICTORIA, BC — Join us for some fun-filled festivities this holiday season in Centennial Square. The free family entertainment is presented in partnership with the Downtown Victoria Business Association (DVBA).

Saturday, November 28, 4 – 5:30 p.m.

Island Farms Santa Light Parade at 5:45 p.m.

Bring the family to watch as 75,000 festive LED lights simultaneously illuminate the Giant sequoia tree and Centennial Square. Starting at 4 p.m., enjoy musical performances and free treats at a “Taste of Downtown” as part of the light-up before heading to the Island Farms Santa Light Parade, which starts at 5:45 p.m. Also take in a ride on the DVBA Ferris wheel for $2, which runs from noon – 9 p.m.

Saturday, November 28 – Sunday, December 20

Fridays 5 – 9 p.m., Saturdays 1 – 9 p.m., Sundays 1 – 7 p.m.

During the three weeks of festivities, catch a ride on the DVBA Ferris wheel. See the dazzling holiday lights from 20 metres up. Rides are $2. Children must be two years of age and at least 92 centimetres tall (3 feet). On Saturday, November 28, rides begin at noon before the Christmas Tree Light-up and will continue after the Island Farms Santa Light Parade until 9 p.m.

November 30 – December 4 (Except Thursday, December 3)

Victoria City Hall, Antechamber, noon – 1 p.m. (Sing-along 12:45 p.m. – 1 p.m.) Bring out the joyful spirit of the season by listening – or even singing along – to Christmas carols performed by Greater Victoria schools and special guests at Victoria City Hall. Monday and Friday’s sing-along will feature local celebrity 11-year-old Lily Cave, well known for her anthem performances at Victoria sports events. Complimentary tea, hot chocolate, oranges and candy canes will be served.
