Pets

Cats and dogs have been an integral part of our lives since the beginning of time. In war and in peace, in literature and folklore they have been there. They have worked for us, they have given us unconditional love and companionship.
Their role during the dark days of Covid has been enormous, and critical, for so many of us. when the isolation of restrictions was crushing. They ask for so little from us, and yet we owe them so much. They were there for us.
Are you a senior needing help looking after your dog? Elderdog Canada can help!
Dedicated to helping older adults and their dogs remain a family, volunteers with ElderDog Canada, a national non-profit organization with a chapter in Nanaimo, provide assistance with:
- Dog walking
- Transportation to vet appointments & groomers
- Picking up dog food
- Minor grooming and hygiene
- Temporary care during hospitalization/rehoming

A thoughtful opinion piece.
You hate Mark Carney because he’s a Liberal. Cool. I don’t care, I’m non-partisan. But I keep hearing “he’s done nothing” from people who can’t name a single policy he’s passed. So I’m going to list some of what the man has actually done in 12 months, just to clear a few things up.
