Deafblind Aware - June 25th to July 1st is Deafblind Awareness Week.

Are you deafblind aware?

Most people are not. Gina Martin, owner of Diverse Abilities Programs and Training Inc. shares an idea to help.

Here’s a simple kitchen suggestion.

If you or a loved one are deafblind aware, it’s usually because you, a loved one, or a friend has low vision and/or hearing.

Using different coloured cutting boards helps with better colour contrast.  Cutting a red apple on a red cutting board or chopping a white onion on a white cutting board, visually is more challenging.

Finding simple solutions that make life easier for yourself or a loved one.

This set-up is a challenge at best and potentially dangerous.
