WaterDown, In-Home Bathing Services

Over a span of 33 years, I was employed as a full-scope LPN in many diverse areas of the hospital setting, including extended care, acute care, and palliative care. These experiences have given me invaluable skills that now are translating to the needs of the community. I practice and promote the mandate of the 0t British Columbia college of Nurses&midwives. BCCNM  to ensure safe, competent and ethical care to all British Columbians. I continue to maintain good standing with the British Columbia Collage of  nurses and midwives (BCCNM).

Bathing is an essential and personal part of our daily lives. There is a ritual involved with this procedure that strengthens and enhances every individual. Every person deserves the personalization that accompanies this act. My mantra is to bathe others as I would bathe myself. My clients trust me to preserve and respect their dignity. I take all the time required to complete the entire bathing ritual in a way that will fulfill the complete needs of each client.

Often, it can be uncomfortable having the help of family members assist with such private aspects of life. With my help, individuals are able to maintain dignity and independence while remaining in their own homes. Services are based on personal ability and requirements of each client. I have specialized skills in dealing with palliative and bed-ridden patients. Bathing these individuals can provide comfort and pain relief, as well as restore dignity and a feeling of self-worth.

After the bath, I will clean the bathroom, shower/ tub area, and change the linens on the bed. My nursing training includes changing bed linens while a client is bed-bound..

Services include

  • Safety inspection of all bathing facilities
  • Bath/ shower/ bed bath
  • Shaving assistance
  • Clean and trim fingernails
  • Assist with dressing
  • Change bed sheets
  • Clean tub/ shower after us
