In 2021 we were cursed by fires, floods and Covid. This year we have been further cursed by Truckeritis and Putinitis. We are all tired, consciously or subconsciously we are mentally drained.
For the sake of our sanity we need to change our focus to our communities and those around us. What can we do to improve our way of life and those who need support and encouragement?
Here in Chemainus for example our Neighborhood House could really some help as they work quietly and tirelessly to assist our most venerable. There is no glory here, they will never get the recognition they deserve. But now they need our help to continue to provide some dignity and support to the people they serve.
They need some volunteer help from you and me. Please try to help them, just 2 or 3 hours week would make such a difference.
Come on people, switch the TV, off stop being mesmerised by the horror of the Ukraine and look to those around us that we can really help now, in a very basic but rewarding way.
